Howard Harris

Howard Harris B.A., M.S., J.D. has been an Associate of FOGA DALEY and a member of the Firm’s Intellectual Property (IP) Department since 2011. His principal practice areas include IP rights acquisition and transactions in relation to trademarks, copyright and patents, IP Enforcement and Entertainment Law. He also has experience in commercial and regulatory compliance and debt-recovery matters.

Howard was called to the Florida Bar in 2009 and qualified as an Attorney-at-Law in Jamaica in 2011. He holds a Juris Doctorate from the Loyola College of Law, Louisiana, a Master’s Degree in Computer Information Systems and Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Miami, Florida and the Legal Education Certificate from the Norman Manley Law School, Jamaica.

Howard is a member of the Jamaican Bar Association and serves on JAMBAR’s Civil Practice and Procedure and Intellectual Property Committees. He is also a member of the Standards Council Information Communication and Technology Committee of the Bureau of Standards, Jamaica.

Howard is an associate member of the International Trademark Association (INTA) and one of the Firm’s representatives on the Intellectual Property Caribbean Association (IPCA) where he serves as Vice Chairman of the Enforcement and Anti-Counterfeiting Committee. He is a certified mediator through the Dispute Resolution Centre of Jamaica and a ccertified participant in WIPO sponsored Patent Training Courses.

Before joining Foga Daley, Howard worked with the law firm of Lorenzo & Capua in Miami, Florida which specialized in Workers Compensation Benefits, Intellectual Property Contracts and Real Estate transactions.
